SRFC had a number of internationals in Victorian and Edwardian times and I would like to know a little more about their Sunderland connections. Henry Kayll (born about ) was one of a big family in the glass business and he was brought up in Roker Terrace. He played for England against Scotland in one of the very early internationals in The Acorn Guest House in the heart of Sunderland is a family run, well established business.. The large Victorian house contains many original features and offers excellent accommodation for all with free parking, free WiFi and en-suite rooms.. Acorn Guest House is within walking distance to The Bridges Shopping Centre, main bus & rail links, Empire Theatre, Winter Gardens and Museum/10().

Katherine Southam: glass Katherine began her arts education with a theoretical grounding by completing a BFA in Art History at Concordia University in Montreal. After discovering a passion for glass, she pursued a practical immersion by completing a degree in Glass and Ceramics at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland, : () A Glass House Quay was mentioned in where a brick structure called a glass house must have stood for the making of glass. Sunderland (/ ˈ s ʌ n d ər l ə n d / ()) is a city and the main settlement of the City of Sunderland, in Tyne and Wear, England, 12 miles northeast of Durham and 10 miles southeast of Newcastle upon Tyne, at the mouth of the River Wear.
