10 1/4 Discovery of the X, Y, Z States • The X,Y, and Z states have brought about an unexpected renaissance in meson spectroscopy. • Start with the X() in B decays. • Then the Y(), Y(), Y(), Y() in Initial State Radiation. • The discoveries have extended beyond the charmonium region into bottomonium (the Y()) and strangeonium (the Y()).   A qualitative and quantitative picture of the hadron mass spectrum in the sector with zero orbital momentum, obtained from the application of both exact inequalities and the 1/ d-expansion to the zeroth-order non-relativistic hadron Hamiltonians, is presented and tested by using the available experimental data on meson and baryon by: 2.

Krewald. Three (or four) straightforward experiments would contribute greatly to completing the spectroscopy of baryons and light mesons.

In the baryon sector, data are needed on inelastic reactions from a. Hadrons are viewed as being composed of quarks, either as quark-antiquark pairs (mesons) or as three quarks (baryons). There is much more to the picture than this, however, because the constituent quarks are surrounded by a cloud of gluons, the exchange particles for the color force.

Mcneile. The quarks in the mesons are also attracted to each other via the color charge, and the strong force mediated by the emission and absorption of gluons. The color charge of mesons differs from that of baryons. The color charge of a quark can be red, green, or blue; however, an antiquark of the meson must possess the anticolor of red, green, or blue.

I briefly introduce the ideas of numerical lattice QCD. The various systematic errors, such as the lattice spacing and volume dependence, in lattice QCD calculations are discussed.

Spectroscopy of D Mesons. The scenario of heavy quark meson spectroscopy underwent recently a major revolution, after the observation of BABAR and CLEO, confirmed by.

In the regime of simple meson and baryon spectroscopy, there are complicated patterns of experimentally observed states, and although many of them are understood by theory, there remains much work to be done. Recent progress in baryon spectroscopy is reviewed. In a common effort, various groups have analyzed a set of new high-precision polarization observables from ELSA.

The Julich-Bonn group has finalized the analysis of pion-induced meson-baryon production, the potoproduction of pions and eta mesons. A meson-baryon molecular interpretation of these resonances would assign their spin-parity to be JP = 1=2. Introduction The recent observation by the LHCb collaboration of ve narrow 0 c excited resonances [1] has triggered a lot of activity in the eld of baryon spectroscopy aiming at.

Hadron spectroscopy is very important to study its structures and the nature of the interaction forces between its constituents. In the previous works [1–5], the heavy meson spectroscopy is studied by using different potential models.
